Realising that Information Systems have always played a critical role in the continued success of the business, Cuscal embarked on a capabilities review of the Production and Disaster Recovery data centre’s and identified some key areas that could deliver improved performance, reliability and resilience.
Cuscal engaged Tecala ICT to conduct an analysis of the current disaster recovery capabilities, and to design a solution that would utilize technology advancements to deliver increased performance of the key business systems, whilst reducing the potential risk of downtime and data loss.
Tecala ICT designed and implemented a fully redundant information system platform that would increase the performance of the critical business applications and provide a Disaster Recovery strategy that would enable Cuscal to meet and exceed the stated Recovery Point and Recovery Time Objectives (RPO’s & RTO’s).
Utilising VMWare virtualization technologies for the server virtualisation layer, and EMC storage platforms and replication technologies to provide resilience and disaster recovery capability, Tecala has delivered a significant performance increase for the critical business applications on fully redundant infrastructure with no single point of failure.
Cuscal can now grow their business (and IT systems along with it) without worrying about the potential for application performance issues, safe in the knowledge that the IT infrastructure that Tecala ICT deployed, provides redundancy, disaster recovery capability, robust performance, and scale for growth.
